BF Migration Hypothesis for the El Dorado National Forest
Our technical advisor and fellow researcher, Bob Boston, has developed a working hypothesis based upon his encounter with Maxine the Bigfoot, other encounter reports as listed on the BFRO website and the evidence we have found as listed on our site. His hypothesis is the species migrates with the change of seasons from lower elevations to higher elevations following the availability of food and/or the current snow line.
This hypothesis is supported by our new member Brad Flom and will be expanded on by him at a later date. Brad has several years of research experience and has noticed certain movement patterns of the species. Brad has a good discussion page up on Sasquatch Searchers about migration.
Their hypothesis is quite interesting and if proven to be a working theory could assist researchers to obtain evidence of the species existence. In order to prove the hypothesis, the SSRG will attempt the following around research area 1: 1) Contact California wildlife biologists to see what existing evidence exists for deer migration patterns. 2) List the existing encounter reports on this page with a geographical reference. 3) Attempt to research the area above Silverfork on both sides of Hwy 50 and the South Fork of the American River for additional evidence. 4) Obtain and track possible migration routes and highlight them on USGS topographical maps and post them on this site for the use of any and all researchers.
We will accept at face value all credible encounter reports for the purposes of proving or disproving the working hypothesis. We should be able within a few years to either prove or disprove the hypothesis so it may either be moved to a working theory or discarded as the result of circumstance.
Please note that no specific time line is being established for these actions and that assistance from credible researchers is welcome.
